Platinum One Bean, Minnie Mouse & the Flying Heart

I finally managed to catch a couple of performances from the モーニング娘。コンサートツアー2009春～プラチナDISCO～ concert today. This was one concert I was REALLY looking forward to. Besides the Risa solo, I was extremely excited about the "chair perf" aka Jounetsu no Kiss o Hitotsu. I WANNA BE THAT CHAIR~~~!!! And a particular pillar + leather chair but I shall leave that for another entry XD

Setlist wise I have no complains as most of the songs (this would make a good pun but anyway...) I like.

I liked the effects here. So cool and it reminded me of a spaceship in the process of touching down. (Is Eri gonna appear first since she's the Erien :D) Oooooh the light focus on the individual girls was great. Woah, Sayumi has been takin lessons. She didn't have any of the deer-in-headlights expression. Risa's smile at 4:18 min and 4:54 min totally killed me *dies* Same with Sayu's "YESSS" at 4:38 and 5:28 min. The marching bit was awesome.

Me: SONGS you doofus! XD

Random person: HUH???

Nothing much to say for this perf except that I noticed Eri has a lot of hair :P

I used to hate this song. Lemme repeat, it's hate. But now I don't mind it that much. I'd even go as far to say that I kinda like it when it's sung during concerts. It gives off a happy vibe which is always good. Oh, and the girl who caught my attention the most is the Kusumi. GOOOOOOOO miracle.

07.しょうがない 夢追い人

I ADORE this song, along with NCK. I still prefer these 2 to the latest Nanchatte Renai...for now :P I could watch this perf all day. The costumes are kinky except for the weird color combination. Still, whatever right as long as the girls look good in it. Special mention goes to Eri. She was smoking!! And Sayumin....*dies* No words. It's clear from the amount of blood splattered on the monitor XDDD

08.情熱のキスを一つ ／高橋愛・新垣里沙・田中れいな

I have never seen anyone look so sexy with their legs crossed. Other than the leopard outfit, this is probably my fav set of clothes. No one can beat Risa in a fedora. She was that gorgeous! Ai was pretty as well mostly cuz her awful hair was concealed by the hat XD Reina's body looked kinda short. Some noteworth moments of the smexy bean showing off her stuff, 1:07, 1:33, 2:50, 3:14, 3:26 and 4:05 min. I was going HUH at Reina's pose at 2:18 min.

09.片思いの終わりに／亀井絵里

This song is great with visuals because I can never get enough of watching Eri perform. Her outfit was so cute and I'm pretty sure the reason for it looking so nice is cuz she was the one wearing it. Vocal wise she was almost on par as the CD which further proves how competent she is as a singer. Her bending forwards and blowing of imaginary hearts were both incredible details and Kame deserves an award for thinking them up. My fav portion of this song is when her eyes linger on the last heart she drew.

When I compare this solo perf to 'Never Forget', I can't help but find that Risa seemed less energetic here. Granted this song isn't a fast one, but NF wasn't either. I don't know how to explain it but I just feel that she looked somewhat tired and appeared to be struggling with her lines at some parts. I might be thinking too much but as someone who watches just Gaki-san most of the time, I truly get this feeling. Oh and I noticed that the strap of her dress isn't flat over her shoulder. Random observation :D The bouncing she does throughout the song is something I used to do it as a kid when I needed to pee xP

14.It's You／道重さゆみfeaturing高橋愛・亀井絵里

I'm already bowled over by Eri in the very first scene. I'm sorry but Ai looks ridiculous with that huge bow in her hair. Nosebleed moments are 0:21, 1:39, and 2:22 min. Why have the poles there if the girls aren't gonna use it? Eri was so distracting but I mean that in a good way. Although I wanted to see Sayu, my eyes kept flicking back to Kame. Maybe it's due to her legs being so slim but the bunny didn't look as good as the turtle in the dresses. Did anyone else think the bunny looked like Minnie Mouse with those thingies in her hair?

I like the echo effect when Ai sang her line in RR21. Eri's pose at 3:59 is enough to blow your mind away.

18.香水／久住小春・ジュンジュン

I have always liked this song no matter who was sings it. Melon Kinenbi, Tanaka and her sidekicks in the 2007 Winter concert and now this. I have to say I was very impressed by Koharu. See, when she doesn't sing in that squeaky tone she actually sounds rather good. I like her voice. And do I even have to mention how beautiful she looks? I think it's pretty obvious ain't it?

19.The 美学／田中れいな

The thing with Reina is, she has a great personality but somehow when I watch her perform alone, there isn't that kick. And her voice doesn't seem to be powerful enough for this song. BTW, what happened to the butt smacking which was in the original Ayaya perf?

21.夢から醒めて／高橋愛

Usually I don't like watching solo performances as I tend to get bored. But in this case, the leader was mesmerizing. OMG, did I just put Ai and mesmerizing in the same line? J/K She was nothing less than incredible in this. I felt really touched watching her sing.

22.Take off is now!／高橋愛・新垣里沙・田中れいな

Their names scrolling across the screen behind them was really nice imo but all 3 individual dance bits seemed a little weak. It's like none of them put in a lot of effort to potray the moves? Did anyone find Risa's bending over at 0:44 min sexy? :P Her smirk at 0:56 min was even more sexy XD

23.グルグルJUMP／久住小春・ジュンジュン・リンリン

A definite song to get the crowd pumped up. Besides the serious Koharu, I also like her when she's all hyper and energetic ^^

24.HOW DO YOU LIKE JAPAN？～日本はどんな感じでっか？～

Gaki-san was so cute in her lopesided hoodie outfit that I wished I could grab her and bring her home. Koharu wasn't bad and Sayumin was another grab-worthy member :P Pity that Eri didn't have her hood up. If you saw the pic of her with it on she was unbelievably adorable! Watch out for Risa's pole pulling at 0:39 min and sexy pointing at 1:04 min. Also, Kusumi's laughable arm flailing at 1:28 min.

25.リゾナント ブルー

The leopard outfits are so awesome that I can't stop raving about them! Again Risa seems tired in this song at 0:45, 1:17, 1:40, 3:12 min. She isn't even jumping during her dance parts with Eri.

Reina has a tail dangling from her outfit. She's always the one to come up with different details to add to her overall look. Very good idea 07 ^^ I was surprised that Ai would "play" Koha at 2:39 min. I liked it though. Mr Moonlight aka the new MM pimp strikes again xP

27.ラヴ＆ピィ～ス！HEROがやって来たっ。

Eri's little jiggle at 0:51 min was so cute. Why is Eri so cute no matter what she does? Risa wasted the chance to kiss Ai at 1:07 min. Ai's expression when Sayu kissed her was pure gold. I couldn't stop laughing. YATAAAAAAAAAAA at the KameMame moment at 3:25 min ^^

Before the talk about how skinny Risa has become in her thread at H!O (I got a shock myself when I saw the AX Anime Convention vids of her), I already had a talk with Sevii about her weight. Apparently, Gaki-san fell sick somewhere during this concert, which was the cause of her recent weight lost. That's why at the start of the tour she was still at a relatively healthy weight and near the end she looked like how she did in the DVD release.

When Lolli brought up how she thought Risa wasn't in top form, I decided to check it out myself. This wasn't too difficult as I usually focus on her anyway :P And my conclusion is, I agree with Lolli that something about her moves in this whole concert seemed rather off.

As a Gaki-san fan, I know that she usually puts a lot of strength in her actions/dance sometimes to the point of being OTT. But in this concert, there was none of that. In fact, she seemed rather weak throughout and there was none of her usual hyper personality.

Thankfully my fav bean is back to normal during the recent NR perf. She's still slimmer than before but at least she seems just as hyper as in the past ^^ All in all, imo, this concert is one of the best and I want solo angles!! Unfortunately, I think Kami-sama is trying to help me save money. If I'm not wrong, there aren't any solo DVDs this time *sigh*
